ONLINE BACKGROUND

“ The New Frontier (or wild west…maybe!)

I started my Online Adventure part time in 2005. Affiliate Marketing mostly, though I do remember getting sucked in to numerous MLM programs that didn’t go anywhere. (surprise, surprise).
2006…Joined the “Warrior Forum” (still haven”t posted anything).
Joel Comm was killing it with Adsense.
Armand Morin claimed he had over 2000 Niche Sites up and running and was adding more every day.
Jeff Walker was already the “go to” guy for Product Launches.
Jack Humphrey was explaining to everyone what Blogging was and why we needed to create original content to get noticed by Google (get noticed by Google? what are all these rankings that everyone is talking about?).
Bought my first PLR from Liz Tomey and remember feeling that I had struck gold by being able to put my name on it and claim full authorship
Jeremy & Simon were in the process of getting “Memberspeed” off the ground and thought it would be a good idea to offer free Silver Memberships to “Sure Fire Wealth” in exchange for your name and email (true innovation in List Building… you think?).

continued….memories of “BUTTERFLY MARKETING “

A Bookmarking Site here a Bookmarking Site there…but I’ve never heard of Social Media…”you are welcome to this download if you fill in the names and email addresses of three of your friends. WHAT IS THIS…”
What remains most memorable from that time, besides John Reese’s “Income.com and Traffic Secrets.com”, certainly is the introduction of the term “VIRAL” by Mike Filsaime to the Internet Marketing Community in July of 2006…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYRQRvbIwJw
http://www.thebutterflymarketingmanuscript.com/
…as well as Rich Shefrens’ “Internet Business Manifesto in 2007 which introduced the now famous Graphic demonstrating the lunatic “do everything yourself” approach most Marketers were employing
http://www.rounin.co.uk/business/strategic-profits/internet-business-manifesto.pd
…what happened to John Reese?
http://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/778357-what-happened-john-reese.html
continued…meltdown
2009 presented me with my first computer HORROR STORY. My database of over 160,000 PLR articles, 2000 PLR eBooks, 2700 resell rights products, my HTML template library, numerous graphics sets, spreadsheets, contact lists, etc…all my dust collectors went bye bye…major wakeup call…good thing I still had my day job…
While still a part timer in early 2012 I felt it was time to dive in head first and find out where I could find the cleanest air to breathe.
Soooo…in late 2012 I enrolled myself into the Online Marketing Community as a full timer.
First venture was purchasing Mike Filsaimes “Micro Model Business System” membership and started dealing with promoting products that I controlled.
I bought all of Dr Ben’s Atkins and Don Wilson’s Facebook courses.
Purchased a membership to James Renouf’s and Jeremy Kennedy’s “FB Target ID and FB Traffic Sniper” programs, put up a few Fan Pages and started promoting Affiliate/CPA offers…
…until… Facebook forced James and Jeremy to take the software offline, took all of their Pages, including Personal Profiles down and banned them from the Network (I don’t like your face, get out of town) leaving about 2000 of us hanging…brutal.
continued with Affiliate/CPA Marketing…some media buys and solo ads
Bought some scripts and a built a few Amazon and iTunes Review Sites
reflecting…reflecting…..reflecting…….
In late 2013 my instincts started pointed me in the direction of developing and creating my own products. I realized a few years ago that Affiliate Marketing was limited to “eating what you kill” and though you could still do quite well, having your own products would allow other Marketers to sell for you resulting in more exposure which should translate to more sales…Brilliant concept!
…but how do I create products?
…what niche do I create products for?
what Affiliate Network would be the best to upload my products to?
…how do I get Affiliates to promote my products?
…how do I effectively launch my products?
Jan 2014 – I enrolled in John Thornhill’s mentoring program…”Partnership to Success
